Restriction of Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS)
The European Union has defined a group of six compounds as restricted hazardous substances under its RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC; 2011/65/EU). They are: mercury, cadmium, lead, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Spectra Geospatial has been working toward applying these same standards to all of its products in the European market, as well as wherever Spectra Geospatial sells or distributes them.
