Spectra Geospatial Introduces New and Enhanced Survey Solutions
SPECTRA GEOSPATIAL

STUTTGART, Germany, Sept. 17, 2019—Spectra Geospatial introduced today new and enhanced products to its Spectra Geospatial and Nikon portfolio of survey solutions. With the new additions, survey and construction professionals have more positioning instrument choices to meet their job requirements.

The announcement was made at INTERGEO 2019, the world’s largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.

Introducing the Nikon XF HP Total Station

Offered in addition to the Nikon XF, the new Nikon XF High Precision (HP) mechanical total station completes the portfolio and gives users the opportunity to choose the electronic distance measurement (EDM) technology that works best for the type of work being performed. The Nikon XF HP model specializes in reflectorless edge measurements using a narrow EDM beam. The Nikon XF model features time-saving autofocus technology and a powerful EDM, which excels at long-range measuring. These two Nikon XF total station models offer great advantages, depending on the job that needs to be done.

“Spectra Geospatial is committed to enhancing our optical portfolio to meet the needs of today’s survey and construction professionals,” said Olivier Casabianca, general manager of Spectra Geospatial. “The addition of the Nikon XF HP gives our customers the flexibility to choose a solution that is right for them.”

All Nikon XF models are available with 1″, 2″, 3″ and 5″ accuracies. Easy to transport, handle and store, the Nikon XF series stands up to the toughest worksite conditions. The mechanical total stations are ideal for quickly capturing accurate measurements and offer crisp, clear optics for sighting in bright and low-light conditions. The Nikon XF models include dual-color touchscreen displays that run Survey Pro, Survey Basic and Layout Pro onboard. Both Nikon XF and Nikon XF HP are also equipped to take advantage of the optional Trimble Protected L2P device for asset security to locate lost, stolen or missing equipment. The hot-swappable batteries reduce downtime and a PIN enhances security in the field.

Spectra Geospatial FOCUS 35 Enhancements

The FOCUS 35 LockNGo™ model is available in 1”, 2”, 3” or 5” accuracies and is now equipped with Class 1 Bluetooth and a range extending antenna. Spectra Geospatial Survey Pro field software runs onboard the instrument or the instrument can now be operated using third-party external controllers with Class 1 Bluetooth.

The FOCUS 35 Robotic total station and FOCUS 35 LockNGo have also been updated with a higher resolution screen and increased onboard memory.
