Trimtec and ProMark 700 Make a Big Hit at MaskinExpo

It was the best year ever for Trimtec, Spectra Precision’s dealer for Sweden, at the recent MaskinExpo, northern Europe’s largest outdoor exhibition for construction equipment. “In our 23 consecutive years of attendance, this year set the all-time record for sales leads,” said Bernt Herrgard, salesman. Herrgard credits the current line of Spectra Precision products – especially the ProMark 700 – and the great sunny weather for the terrifically productive three-day expo that was held May 23-25.

“Small and mid-sized construction companies, especially those without a surveyor on staff, were the most interested in the ProMark 700. Its modern iPhone feel, low weight and cable-less configuration drew their attention,” said Herrgard. Trimtec chose to feature ProMark 700 because of it’s new, modern look and very competitive price. For demos, Trimtec generally paired the ProMark 700 with the T41 data collector for its quality feeling and design. “We also focused on the Ranger 3,” Herrgard added.

A demo of ProMark700 invariably began by letting the customer hold the rover, power it up and initialize it. “It all takes so little time, it’s impressive, “ said Herrgard. “Then we have them take a few measurements and that’s it. After that we take their contact info and be sure to follow up after the show,” added Herrgard. Customer feedback indicated the ProMark 700 particularly appealed for general construction work, agricultural drainage surveying and rock drilling surveying applications.

Trimtec also featured the Epoch 50 with the Ranger 3, the ProMark 220 and the ProMark 800 at MaskinExpo. The Expo held annually at STOXA, the Stockholm Outdoor Exhibition Area that boasts 90 landscaped acres just 12 km from the Stockholm airport, this year attracted more than 19,000 attendees and 412 exhibits.
